Full Version: Problems With Rpcscan
stealth
http://www.securityfriday.com/ToolDownload...pcscan_doc.html

RpcScan enumerates the RPC endpoint-map elements for port 135. You may differentiate between, for example,

Windows NT 4.0 SP3 or before and Windows NT 4.0 SP4 or later,
Windows 2000 SP2 or before and Windows 2000 SP3,
default Windows XP and Windows XP SP1,
Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional.

I tried this proggie but have no idea who to get the number of the Service Pack from Scan result. Maybe someone can explain how it/the scanner works!

Thanks in advance

Well so far I have no idea. The program does a pretty good job at indentifying the versions of the wservices but no mention of Service packs.

I couldn't find a help file on the site either?? Anyone else want to give it a try?
